This picture was taken in Arkansas probably around 1925-1927.
Commodore and Janette were from southwest
 Virginia. Commodore's father died in the Civil War (Point Lookout, MD
prisoner of war) , and Dad said that his father often talked about Janette's homemade apple butter.
